LeBron James blocks Derrick Rose into oblivion, Nikola Mirotic hits three (Video)

There was a rather interesting sequence on Saturday night thanks to the defense of LeBron James

Hey, no one ever said that playing great defense would work for you every time on the basketball court. Sometimes even when you’re on point with your defense, things just won’t bounce your way. This is something that LeBron James found out the hard way on Saturday night.

As they get set for the NBA Playoffs coming up, the Cleveland Cavaliers are taking on the Chicago Bulls Saturday night, and as the second quarter was coming to a close, the Bulls were looking to cut into the lead. Derrick Rose decided to take matters into his own hands by driving the lane and trying to get the bucket. However, LeBron had other ideas, swatting the Rose shot into another stratosphere.

Unfortunately, that stratosphere was right where Nikola Mirotic was standing, and he just hit the three as LeBron could not get a second block on the play.

That’s the game of basketball for you. There will be times that n matter what you do, the ball just won’t bounce your way. That was the case here for sure.
