The Denver Broncos are still eyeing trade options for starting quarterback.

When the Denver Broncos traded for Mark Sanchez earlier last month, not a single soul believed that it was going to be the final option that they’d lay for themselves. Denver lost Peyton Manning to retirement and Brock Osweiler to the Houston Texans in the first week of the new league year, and they suddenly were in a position where acquiring Sanches from the Eagles wasn’t that bad of an option.

But if you thought the Broncos were going to end their pursuit of a long-term starter than you’re very wrong.

Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports that the Broncos are still eyeing the likes of Mike Glennon, Brian Hoyer and Josh McCown to compete for the starting job. There’s also still the possibility that Denver works out a trade for Colin Kaepernick, although it appears that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

Sanchez has apparently taken the receivers to a private workout, which is starting to forge some synergy but it’s not something that will single handedly earn him the starting job. Denver might end up rolling with the Sanchize in Week 1, but they’re not ready to anoint him the starter at this moment.

Instead, it appears that all avenues are still being explored and we might not have seen the last quarterback trade that the Broncos will make before the start of the upcoming season.
