Leicester City is still atop the Premier League table and they’re basically doing everything on repeat — until Sunday

There has not been a better story in the Premier League this season than Leicester City. They’ve seen a magical run this season that’s put them atop the Premier League table and that will not be changing on Sunday.

Really, the only the thing they changed on Sunday was the manner in which they got the job done.

Leicester faced off with Sunderland on Sunday with the chance to pull even further away from second place Tottenham, and it appeared as if they were going to sneak away with yet another 1-0 win. They won their last four matches 1-0, and after a second half Jamie Vardy goal, it appeared as if they were headed down that path again. However, in stoppage time, Vardy was able to put another into an empty net and, GASP, they actually came away with the 2-0 win.

Still, the fact remains that this title is Leicester’s to lose at this point. They’re now nine points away from the title and ten points clear of Tottenham with just five matches to play, so they literally hold their fate in their own hands. This miracle run seems as if it’s coming to the perfect end here down the stretch.

Following the 2-0 win by Leicester, here’s a look at the updated Premier League Table for this Sunday.

This is going to be an interesting final stretch run of the season, that’s for sure.
