Tottenham just absolutely went off on Manchester United in the second half on Sunday

Both Tottenham and Manchester United did not have the best days on Sunday to start with. Leicester City with their 2-0 win separated themselves by 10 points at the top of the table, and of course, Manchester United was having some travel difficulties with their bus getting stuck, causing the game to be delayed.

However, someone had to come out a winner in all of this on Sunday, and that was most certainly Tottenham, as they basically piled on Manchester United rather quickly in the second half. Okay, actually, it was like a whirlwind.

The game was scoreless in the second half, but that all changed in the 70th minute when Dele Alli scored this goal to give the Spurs the 1-0 lead.

Okay, no problem, it’s only 1-0.

Well, that was until four minutes later when Toby Alderweireld got in on the scoring fun.

A minute later, it was Erik Lamela popping in to say that he wanted a piece of the pie as well.

Three goals in five minutes. Can this day (season) literally get any worse for Manchester United?
