1. They’re simply better than everyone else
If a team is the defending NBA Champions and has won 140 regular season games in a two-year span, then they can probably say that they’re better than everyone else in the league. This isn’t really an arguable point because all the evidence supports the Warriors as the best.
Even San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich made a point to praise the Warriors’ defense despite what analytics might say about them. They aren’t a one-trick pony on the basketball court at all. They strive to be the best in every single area of the game and that’s what has allowed them to take their place in history.
They haven’t been beaten in consecutive games. It took 54 games for someone to beat them at home, and when they get up by 15 points, they don’t lose. This is a team that when they lose, they don’t get rattled and they move onto the next game as if the previous didn’t happened.
They are mentally sound along with physically sound at each position. There isn’t a weakness on the roster or on the coaching staff. This is an organization that isn’t afraid to talk about history for fear of superstition.
The Warriors follow the attitude of their head coach and confront everything in their path. If there’s an area that they are expected to struggle in, they make a point out of it to be the best in that area.
Golden State is the best team in the field and there’s no reason to argue against it.
