The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the youngest franchises in the NFL, beginning play in the AFC Central back in 1995. While Jacksonville is one of only four NFL teams to have never played in a Super Bowl, it has until recently have put together a strong start to the franchise’s growing history.
Jacksonville thrived under first-ever head coach Tom Coughlin, playing in the 1996 AFC Championship Game in only the second-ever Jaguars season. Though Jacksonville has failed to reach the playoffs every fall since 2007, many believe that the 2016 Jaguars have the potential to make some serious noise in the AFC with their high-octane aerial attack and improving front seven.
Given that Jacksonville mastered its time as an expansion team, it’s no surprise that the Jaguars have made some great draft selections in their young NFL history. Even in years of immense struggle, the Jaguars have nearly always been able to find gems with their NFL draft picks.
