WWE RAW results, April 11, 2016: Live tracker

Live results tracker for WWE RAW from STAPLES Center on Monday, April 11

WWE RAW will be live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA on Monday, April 11. It’s the second episode since WrestleMania 32 and things are already progressing in a major way now that Roman Reigns is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and now that the control of WWE RAW is still seemingly in flux.

Last week on WWE RAW, AJ Styles defeated Chris Jericho, Cesaro, and Kevin Owens in the main event to become the No. 1 Contender for the title. Subsequently, there will surely be more to come between Styles and Reigns in LA as both men have something to compete for going forward. Moreover, there could be some character shifts coming as well.

In addition, there were some major returns and debuts on WWE RAW last week. Cesaro returned from injury to be an entrant in the main event to determine the No. 1 Contender, Apollo Crews debuted, and the team of Enzo Amore and Big Cass finally made their way to the main roster to taunt the Dudley Boyz. All of these guys will likely be seen and heard from again this week on WWE RAW. Moreover, there are still guys like John Cena, Seth Rollins, The Bullet Club, and more that could return or debut at any given moment.

Another thing that happened last week—in admittedly puzzling fashion—was that Vince McMahon relinquished control of the show to his son, Shane McMahon, even after Shane lost to The Undertaker at Mania. WWE sent out a tweet on Monday afternoon saying that Shane would once again be in control of WWE RAW this wee from STAPLES Center, so we’ll see what that means for the show.

You surely won’t want to miss this week’s episode of WWE RAW and you can follow all of the live results below once the show begins at 8 p.m. ET. Be sure to join in the discussion as well in the comments.

Shane In Control Once Again

In control of WWE RAW once again, Shane McMahon kicked off the show from STAPLES Center.

Shane was full of big announcements as he said that Charlotte vs. Natalya for the Women’s title, a tournament to determine the Tag Team No. 1 Contenders, and a match between AJ Styles and Sami Zayn with Zayn possibly earning a WWE title shot on the line would all happen on Monday night.

Miffed by all of this, Kevin Owens came out to complain and say that Sami didn’t deserve a title shot and that he also needed a rematch for his Intercontinental Championship.

Shane said KO would have to earn that shot at the IC title and he’d earn it up next by winning in a match against Cesaro.

Kevin Owens vs Cesaro

The match started off with the two men going back-and-forth, with Owens going out to regroup when Cesaro looked to get the upper hand.

Back in the ring, though, the Swiss Superman wasted no time in getting back on the offensive with some massive uppercuts.

The two then seemed to trade blows again and again with KO working the previously injured shoulder of Cesaro and with Cesaro being a powerhouse. It looked like the former IC champ in Owens might get the win when he landed a huge Frog Splash.

However, Cesaro rebounded shortly after to hit a monster Flying Uppercut.

Owens recovered and seemed to be locked in to hit the Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Cesaro rolled out of it and into the Neutralizer to pick up the win.

Winner and IC title No. 1 Contender: Cesaro

Backstage Extracurriculars

First backstage was Charlotte and Ric Flair in the back talking about her always being the victim, which is when Dr. Phil showed up and ran both of them down in a major, major way that was ultimately better than could have been expected.

Kevin Owens then confronted Shane backstage about getting screwed and then threatened to attack Sami Zayn. McMahon didn’t take kindly to this and promptly had Owen escorted from the building.

Tag Team Tourney

Next up was the first match in the tournament to determine the new Tag Team No. 1 Contenders, which New Day were out to kick off with a promo and announcement that it would be sponsored by BootyO’s.

Lucha Dragons vs Dudley Boyz

Despite United States Champion Kalisto being involved, the Dudleys used their power largely to just dominate the Lucha Dragons. They ultimately picked up the win.

Winners: The Dudley Boyz

As the Dudleys were celebrating, though, Enzo Amore and Big Cass came out for another promo and owned the veterans yet again, even if both Bubba Ray and D-Von got a chance to defend themselves.

S-A-W-F-T indeed.

The Broman Family Empire

Roman Reigns was out to again talk about being WWE World Heavyweight Champion and address the fact that he might be in a triple threat at Payback against both AJ Styles and Sami Zayn.

However, League of Nations wasn’t having any of this and came out to say that they would’ve would be No. 1 Contender had any of them had the chance. Reigns wasn’t buying it and said all of them should come down to the ring. As they did, though, the lights went out and The Wyatt Family came into the ring.

Shane liked what he saw and made the main event on WWE RAW Bray and Roman vs two members of League of Nations.

Women’s Championship Match: Charlotte vs Natalya

This match was fine, but not nearly as good as they were together at NXT TakeOver however long ago.

However, the real story came at the finish when Natalya locked in the Sharpshooter and had the champion Charlotte ready to tap. As she tapped, though, Ric Flair distracted the ref and got Charlotte DQ’d so she lost, but kept the title.

Winner by DQ: Natalya (Charlotte retains)

There was then a promo backstage with Sami Zayn talking about being the underdog and not being worried about Kevin Owens and being ready to beat AJ Styles. Styles showed up to say that he agreed with Sami, but that he was the one No. 1 Contender and planned to keep it that way.

The Usos vs. Social Outcasts—AKA Bullet Club Arrives

In the next match from the tag team tournament, The Usos defeated Social Outcasts in a quick match to advance in the No. 1 Contender tournament.

As they were celebrating their victory, though, Doc Gallows (Luke Gallows) and Karl Anderson jumped The Usos from behind and beat them down in a big way. That’s right—Bullet Club is here.

Backstage, The Miz was getting pampered with Maryse by his side. She ran down a worker for having blue M&Ms in Miz’s snack bowl, which is when Cesaro came up to taunt his future opponent for the IC title.

AJ Styles vs Sami Zayn

In by far the most predictable thing on the show, this match was fantastic and both Styles and Zayn looked great throughout. They both showed off their impressive offensive arsenals and the chemistry that they can have together inside the squared circle.

In the end, though, AJ caught Sami with the Phenomenal Forearm, which was enough to keep him down and get Styles the win to remain the lone No. 1 Contender.

Winner: AJ Styles

Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel with Guest Chris Jericho

Jericho was out to look like an enormous heel as he was his own guest on his talk show, the Highlight Reel. He bragged, boasted, and generally was his dad-joking self.

However, when Y2J began saying no one could touch him, Dean Ambrose came out with a memo from Shane McMahon saying that the Highlight Reel had been cancelled and now it was the Ambrose Asylum.

When Jericho got pissed and attempted to verbally scare off Ambrose, though, Dean wasn’t having any of it and hit him with Dirty Deeds to officially take over things.

Backstage there was a segment with Goldust getting mad at R-Truth for signing them up for the tag team tourney and Dr. Phil could only shake his head at the duo.

Apollo Crews vs. Adam Rose

This match was quick with Bo Dallas at ringside, but Apollo continues to look like a star (even if they need to do something with his character in a major, major way). Crews picked up the easy win.

Winner: Apollo Crews

Roman Reigns & Bray Wyatt vs League of Nations

This match was way better than expected as Wyatt wrestled as a pseudo-face alongside Roman (and was fantastic). The League of Nations worked heel well as well as Rusev on the outside continually got involved and got the group a fair amount of heat. It looked like Reigns and Wyatt were firmly in control still.

However, the League started getting involved even further and it looked like the numbers advantage might decide this match.

However, The Wyatt Family showed up and Bray was able to use their presence to hit Sister Abigail for the win.

Winner: Roman Reigns & Bray Wyatt

WWE RAW went off of the air with the two “faces” staring each other down.
