Cristiano Ronaldo scores hattrick for Real Madrid in their Champions League quarter final victory over Wolfsburg. 

Sometimes, you simply have to stand back and admire the ability of many sportsmen and women around the world. The physical talents of Usain Bolt, the skill of Tom Brady and Steph Curry, the brains and brawn of Novak Djockovic. Soccer plays host to two of the greatest sportsmen to ever grace the planet, and while the debate will rage on over who is the better, sometimes simply stepping back and admiring the talent is all that’s needed.

Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the very best soccer players of all time. His scoring feats since joining Real Madrid are out of this world. In Real Madrid’s second leg with Wolfsburg in the Champions League, Ronaldo has gone on to score yet another hattrick.

Real Madrid, after a terrible first leg, came out firing in the first half, with Ronaldo scoring two quickfire goals. The second half continued in the same vain, with Real Madrid on top, and Ronaldo eventually made the pressure pay with a tremendous free kick.

Hitting the ball with the instep of his right foot, the ball swerved, tumbled and turned over and over, sweeping through a gap in the wall and nestling into the bottom corner.

It was a wonderful strike from Ronaldo, putting Real Madrid 3-2 up on aggregate and completing the great man’s hattrick. They were able to see out the remainder of the game and advance to the semifinal. Once again, they have Ronaldo to thank.
