A look at the five worst NFL Draft in the history of the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys seem to have cleaned up a good bit of their drafting blunders over the past couple of seasons, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t had their share of terrible picks.

When Jerry Jones took over as the owner of the team, he hired Jimmy Johnson to coach them as well as make several personnel decisions. The result was a great run of draft moves which led to one of the best dynasties of all-time and three Super Bowl wins.

As often happens in sports, ego got involved and the two men couldn’t find a way to coexist for too long. The split led to a period of questionable moves by Jones, especially in terms of drafting players.

Jones tried to play general manager and owner but found out that the good football moves are usually made by those who dedicate their every waking hour to scouting incoming players. We now can have a good laugh as we look back at the five worst draft picks in Cowboys history.

To be fair to Jones, he isn’t responsible for every bad choice in the team’s history, but he has had a hand in most of those bad selections.

Here are the five worst draft picks made by the Cowboys.
