For the 2016 NFL Draft, the NFL announced the names of the 25 premier prospects that will be in attendance on April 28 for the event in Chicago, Illinois.
The 2016 NFL Draft is just around the corner, and will be held for the second straight year at Roosevelt University’s Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. On Tuesday, the NFL announced the 25 premier prospects that will be in attendance for the 2016 NFL Draft, as well as 12 college coaches.
Here are the names of the 25 young men that will get the opportunity to walk up on stage and shake the hand of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell as certain first-round NFL draft picks:
1) Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State

Urban Meyer’s Ohio State Buckeyes will send a record-tying five players to the green room for the much-anticipated NFL draft: cornerback Apple, defensive end Bosa, offensive tackle Decker, running back Elliott, and linebacker Lee.
Outside of Meyer, whose players will comprise one-fifth of the green room hopefuls, popular college coaches that will be in attendance include Ole Miss’ Hugh Freeze, Michigan State’s Mark Dantonio, and Clemson’s Dabo Swinney, all of whom have players that are certainly going in the first round of the draft.
Interestingly, only two quarterbacks will make the trek to Chicago: California’s Goff and North Dakota State’s Wentz. While both of their college coaches in Sonny Dykes and Chris Klieman, respectively, will also be attending the draft, one has to wonder if NFL general managers are skeptical about Memphis’ Paxton Lynch or Michigan State’s Connor Cook. Does this mean they won’t go in the first round of the draft?
Regardless, there aren’t many complaints about who was included and who wasn’t in this year’s green room of the 2016 NFL Draft. This is an exciting time for these 25 families, as well as the 12 men who coached these soon-to-be professional athletes.
