Donald Trump asks how Joe Paterno is doing at Pittsburgh rally (Video)

Apparently Donald Trump has no idea Joe Paterno died years ago.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was in Pittsburgh on Wednesday making his case to be the next president of the United States, but he may have hurt his case with Penn State fans.

Trump made a very odd transition from talking about bringing back the coal industry to bringing back former Penn State coaching legend Joe Paterno, which would be remarkable considering he’s dead.

It would be a miraculous feat for the Donald who wants to make America great again, and he can start by showcasing his powers of necromancy.

Is there a chance Trump was referring to the Paterno statue that was removed in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal that rocked the program, university, college football and the country?

The crowd of Trump supporters didn’t know how to react to the “did he just say that” moment.

I, for one, welcome Trump and his necromancy ways and would love to see zombie Joe on the sidelines in Happy Valley again. It would be interesting to see him on the recruiting trail as a zombie, but I’m sure he would still want Penn State to wear the traditional white and blue uniforms with no frills.

The winningest head coach in FBS history would be able to add to his wins record and make it unreachable for the living and undead.

In all seriousness, this could be the next president of the United States of America and while knowing the history of Penn State football isn’t a prerequisite to getting in the Oval Office, it does make you wonder how no one in his staff alerted him to this huge mistake prior to taking the stage.

At least, he didn’t say Tony Dorsett was his favorite Penn State player or something that would start a riot.
