Goran Dragic is a great point guard for the Miami Heat, but he’s now becoming that guy in the NBA that keeps losing his teeth. He lost another one Tuesday.
It happened again. Yes, Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic lost yet another tooth in the line of duty in the Heat’s game against the Detroit Pistons Tuesday night. This was the second time this season that Dragic had a tooth knocked loose in an NBA game.
While Dragic’s first of tooth problem this year came against the Southeast Division rival Atlanta Hawks, he lost the second trying to shake Detroit’s Spencer Dinwiddie early in the second quarter of the contest.

Dinwiddie’s right arm came across Dragic’s face to defend the basketball. Dragic seemingly knew that another adult tooth of his was no longer in place. Since this is apparently just another part of his unique basketball game, Dragic didn’t hesitate and kept playing, tossing the tooth aside like it was no big deal.
Miami would call a timeout in a few minutes and had the team doctor look at Dragic’s mouth to assess the damage. Apparently, Dragic has been cool about the whole teeth situation this season. He must have a great dentist in the South Beach area.
Dragic has his Heat in the Eastern Conference Playoffs and fighting for home court advantage in the first round. Miami will either end up with either the No. 3, No. 4, or No. 5 seed in the East depending on how the final game of the regular season shakes out for the Hawks and the Boston Celtics. All Dragic can do about it is smile, now with even fewer teeth.
