Johnny Manziel found himself is once again in the news after being involved in an alleged hit and run over the weekend.
Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is unable to stay out of the news and made headlines once again for something that occurred over the weekend.
TMZ Sports reported earlier this afternoon that Manziel was involved in a hit and run in Hollywood over the weekend, although he was not the driver of the car.
The driver, according to the report, was Ryan Silverstein, who is known as a member of Drake’s “OVO” crew/group of people who are famous for being famous.
The part of this story that makes it even worse is the part where Josh Gordon is reported as the one to pick Manziel up, after the running part of the hit and run.
Gordon was recently denied reinstatement to the NFL after it was revealed he failed yet another drug test in a series of unfortunate decisions. All hope for reinstatement was lost when it was revealed he was living with Manziel, although his involvement in picking Manziel up does nothing to tarnish his reputation any further.
This news is just another mark against Manziel, who seems to have no interest in joining an NFL team. He is still collecting paychecks from the Browns, and with his past of affluence and never having a need for money, he should do a great job of wasting his money along with his talent.
The wasting talent part applies to Gordon as well, and being around Manziel is the worst thing he can do now. There is nothing wrong with helping a friend and getting him out of a bad situation, but not when that friend may be contributing to your own failing career.
Manziel remains a free agent as of right now and no teams seem to want anything to do with him. He may even join Gordon in the realm of being suspended, pending a decision on his domestic violence incident with his ex-girlfriend.
