NHL Playoffs: Flyers vs. Capitals complete TV schedule
Here is the complete television schedule for the first round series of the 2016 Stanley Cup playoffs between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Washington Capitals.
The Washington Capitals and Philadelphia Flyers have one of the best rivalries in the NHL. It stretches all the way back to the 1970s, when the Broad Street Bullies and the Caps, an expansion team at that time, had some bloody battles. The rivalry has not died off at all since then. Their rivalry will once again be showcased in the playoffs as the President’s Trophy winning Capitals take on a Cinderella team in the Flyers in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Washington enters the Stanley Cup playoffs playing some impressive hockey, even if it is not necessarily shown in the win column. Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby got back on track after a rough patch and star forward Alex Ovechkin is looking like a man determined to destroy as many people and score as many goals as needed to bring the Stanley Cup to the capital city of the United States.
Philadelphia will be playing with very heavy hearts following the recent death of the great Ed Snider. They will be a very motivated team as they look to win for their departed founder. The Flyers are led by forward Wayne Simmonds, forward Brayden Schenn, center Claude Giroux, and rookie sensation, defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere.
