NHL Playoffs: Rangers vs. Penguins complete TV schedule
Here is the complete television schedule for the first round series of the 2016 Stanley Cup playoffs between the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins.
The New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins have made meeting in the Stanley Cup playoffs a regular event. This is the third consecutive postseason that will see the two Metropolitan Division rivals battle it out, as both teams look to bring home a Stanley Cup. While the Rangers have won their past two playoff series against the Penguins, Pittsburgh had a 3-1-0 record this season against New York.
New York will be led by goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, who has a history of coming up big in the playoffs. Last year’s playoff hero, center Derek Stepan, will look to build on a strong finish to his season to be the hero once again in the playoffs. Forward Mats Zuccarello comes in playing some of the best hockey of his career as well. They will, however, be without defenseman Ryan McDonagh, at least for the first game. His return is questionable.
The Penguins will seek revenge led by their star center Sidney Crosby. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is back in net after missing time with concussion issues. Defenseman Kris Letang should play a huge role in the series as well.
