Kobe Bryant gives Lakers teammates sweet gifts before finale (video)

Kobe Bryant made sure to give out some sweet gifts to his Lakers teammates before his final game Wednesday.

After a season of goodbyes and standing ovations across the NBA (even in places like New York and Boston where he had plenty of battles), the Kobe Bryant era has come to an end. Wednesday saw the Los Angeles Lakers star play his final game as the team came back to defeat the Utah Jazz.

It couldn’t have gone any better for Kobe Bryant, who dropped 60 points in the game in a finale that will go down as one of the best in the history of sports. The Staples Center crowd went crazy as teammates continued to feed him the ball once he got the hot hand.

Before the game, the Lakers presented Bryant and his wife with celebratory rings (over five karats each) to celebrated his 20-year run in purple and yellow. But Bryant was also in a giving mood as well, and hooked up his teammates with some sweet swag before the game tipped off:

Now it makes perfect sense why the teammates were helping Kobe Bryant reach the milestone of 60 points for the sixth time in his career. If you walked into work (even as an NBA player) and saw stuff like that in your locker, you would be ready to say thanks however you can.

The Lakers’ victory wasn’t just a farewell game to one of the best players in the history of the NBA, but also the end to a dreadful season for the once proud franchise. The win “improved” the Lakers’ record to 17-65, which is still the worst in their history.
