Report: Broncos and Chiefs will play on Christmas night
The Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs will meet on Christmas night in an AFC West showdown in Kansas City.
With Peyton Manning retiring and Brock Osweiler heading to Houston in free agency, it’s not quite clear what the Denver Broncos are going to do with their quarterback position in 2016. What is known is that they are going to have plenty of teams in their division looking to knock them off the division crown and take over.
The Kansas City Chiefs are one of those teams that will be looking to become the new king of the AFC West this year with one of the deepest rosters in the NFL. Both games between these teams will probably decide just who wins the division.
The biggest of those games will be reportedly on Christmas night. According to Mike Klis, the Broncos and Chiefs will be one of two games on NBC on Christmas night and the game will take place in Kansas City.
It’s a huge game on a big day that takes place late in the season for both of these teams. Last season, the two teams met in a memorable game at Kansas City, that saw Jamaal Charles fumble the ball instead of taking it to overtime, which led to a Broncos win.
The Broncos ended up winning the division by one game as a result of their victory on the road, which goes to show just how important every divisional game is in the NFL. This year, the biggest game in the AFC West will have a holiday feel to it.
