NFL Schedule Release 2016: What games are on Thursday Night Football?

The NFL has released the full Thursday Night Football schedule for the 2016 season.

The NFL and CBS extended their “Thursday Night Football” package for the 2015 season in an agreement that carried at additional year at the NFL’s option. As part of the extension, CBS broadcasted the first eight Thursday night games, which were also showed via simulcast on NFL Network. NFL Network then exclusively showed the final eight games.

In February, the NFL announced its decision to expand Thursday Night Football in 2016 and 2017, continuing its partnership with CBS while also adding NBC as a partner. Both CBS and NBC will broadcast five Thursday Night Football games, growing the package to 10 broadcast games in 2016 and 2017 from eight in 2014 and 2015.

All Thursday Night Football broadcast games will continue to be simulcast on NFL Network.

NFL Network will also exclusively televise an eight-game schedule of regular season games comprised of Thursday Night Football, late-season games on Saturday, and additional games that have yet to be determined.
