Friendly Bounce Season Recaps: The Denver Nuggets were quietly fun

As the NBA regular season starts to roll to its end, the majority of teams are already planning fishing trips after not making the NBA Playoffs. While serious season eulogies are going on over at Hardwood Paroxysm, we here at The Friendly Bounce are taking a look at the important part of each team’s season as we bid them farewell, the fun stuff. Look, I’m not going to pretend that any of us watched a ton of the Denver Nuggets this season. While there were bright spots for the Nuggets at different times during the season, Denver mostly was stuck the mid-lottery area in a time zone that made it hard for people to care unless their favorite team happened to be playing Denver that night. Even Denver fans didn’t seem to care as the Nuggets finished dead last in attendance this season. So yeah, sorry Nuggets fans.

Most Vinable Player: 

Dan Favale (@Danfavale): Will Barton has a license to chuck and dunk, and I love it. He cannot be impeded when going baseline and knives through defenses from above the break with graceful explosion befitting Kevin Durant. 

Donnie Kolakowski (@Donniebuckets): Barton’s a solid choice, but I’m going with Nikola Jokic. That guy busted out the most veteran of moves in his rookie season, and had at least one play a night that was worth a look. He may not be as heralded as some other rookies, but he was really productive and fun to watch. 

Ryne Prinz (@Ryneprinz): Will Barton seems like a solid pick. As Dan said, his athleticism is incredibly smooth, and he seems to float in the air. He’s one of my favorite in-game dunkers in the league. 

Matt Cianfrone (@Matt_Cianfrone): Barton is my choice as well. He combines crazy athleticism with having no fear of failure which provides some interesting shot, dunk and block attempts and some great highlights.
