NHL Playoffs: What channel is Blues vs. Blackhawks Game 2 on?
Here is where you can watch the Game 2 of the NHL playoffs first round series between the St. Louis Blues and the Chicago Blackhawks.
Game 1 of the series between the two Central Division foes was a true stalemate. Though both goaltenders, Brian Elliot for the Blues and Corey Crawford for the Blackhawks, performed well—blocking 35 and 17 goals, respectively—they were constantly let down by slow defense and forwards unable to plant the puck in the net on power plays.
St. Louis center David Backes truly earned the win for the Blues. Approximately nine minutes into a neck-and-neck OT, the forward scored one behind Crawford on a deflection. Backes was assisted by Jay Bouwmeester and Alex Pietrangelo.
The Blackhawks, however, will have an upper hand in the series starting tonight because of their x-factor: the return of star defenseman Duncan Keith, who missed six games for slashing the Wild’s Charlie Coyle. Though Blues’ Kevin Shattenkirk joked that his team’s best strategy going forward would be to rile up Keith while he’s on thin ice, there might be some rationale to it—Keith have no plans to change his style of play in Game 2 and any game afterwards.
The Blackhawks will once again face the Blues tonight at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis at 8 p.m. Blues vs. Blackhawks Game 2 will be aired on NBC Sports Network and can also be streamed live on NBC Sports Live Extra.
