Devontae Booker – Running Back – Utah

The Titans did acquire DeMarco Murray in the offseason, but apart from him, they don’t have much of a running game. They need someone who can compliment Murray as a back up and push him. They also need an extra running back in case Murray doesn’t do anything like he did last season with Philadelphia.

Devontae Booker is a stout back at five eleven, 211 and breaks a lot of tackles. Booker is more of a power back and could be used in short yardage situations for the Titans. He is not extremely fast and still needs work in pass protection. If he gains some weight he could turn into a Mike Tolbert-like player that gets carries in short yardage situations.

Booker was the workhorse for the Utes and was second team All-Pac-12 even after injuring his knee in November of his senior season. He rushed for over 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns in his junior season, though. He has the tools to be a powerful back, also similar to maybe Ray Rice on the field. He would be a good addition and backup to Murray.
