Find out which drivers to pick for your NASCAR fantasy team ahead of the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads back to short track racing with this weekend’s action taking place in Bristol Motor Speedway. It will be a crazy Food City 500 race as the track will be filled with congestion and contact throughout Sunday’s action.
There are some drivers on the upswing and they should be considered for fans’ NASCAR fantasy teams. Four drivers to select for Sunday’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway that should find success are below.
Carl Edwards
Edwards won the pole for the Food City 500. This bodes well for him as he elected to have the front pit stall on pit road. This gives him an advantage for every race off pit road. Likewise, he will start the race in the front row and have the chance to get off to a fast start and begin to lap the other drivers in the back of the field.
Joey Logano
Logano has four top-10 and three top-five finishes through seven NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races this season. He currently sits fifth in the chase standings, but a win on Sunday would solidify a spot in the chase later this year.
Matt Kenseth
Kenseth has won four Sprint Cup Series races at Bristol. He’ll aim for his fifth win as he looks to win his first race of the season. The chance is there for him to have a season-best finish on Sunday.
Kyle Busch
He’s won four races in a row across the main three NASCAR circuits heading into the weekend. That streak ended on Saturday as he finished runner-up in the Xfinity Series race at Bristol. Yet, he had a full race to prepare on Saturday to work out the kinks for Sunday’s Food City 500. He’s clearly the favorite to win on Sunday as he’s been on fire no matter what race he’s participating in recently.
