When will the Atlanta Hawks play the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs?
Game 1 of the first-round matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and the Boston Celtics seemed like it was going to be a blowout in the first half. The Hawks were all over Celtics, who were barely shooting above 20-percent. They weren’t getting consistent production from anyone until the second half.
When the Celtics came out there for the next part of the game, they looked energized and started working their way back. This was something these Brad Stevens-led teams had a knack of doing during the regular season. They even led 83-80 at one point.
However, the Hawks would claw back, take the lead, and never let it go. Play from Al Horford, Kent Bazemore, and Jeff Teague helped carry the team to the victory with the final score of 102-101. They were barely able to walk out of there with the win, though, and will need to play a tougher game against the Celtics for 48 minutes to ensure a victory.
Game 2 of this opening-round NBA Playoffs series can be seen on Tuesday, April 19. It will air on TNT at 7:00 PM ET at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, GA.
