Raptors mascot dresses like Justin Bieber for halftime show (Video)

The Raptors mascot is in playoff form, dressing like Justin Bieber to dance to his songs during the halftime show

The Toronto Raptors have had their fair share of struggles when it comes to the NBA playoffs. Since the team’s inception two decades ago, they have just one series win in the postseason and have never won a seven-game series in the playoffs. Despite those struggles, though, the Raptors have always been the leaders in regards to mascots as the Raptor is one of the greats in that regard. He only proved that on Saturday in Game 1 at the Air Canada Centre.

During the halftime show, the Raptors dance team and mascot were performing to the Justin Bieber song ‘What Do You Mean?” Because even the Raptors mascot is in playoff form, he dressed as Justin Bieber with the bangs, flannel, and the whole get-up for the performance. The results are arguably the most historically significant thing of all time:

Scientists could find an actual living, breathing dinosaur on Saturday and it would still only be the second best dinosaur-related thing to happen because of this performance by the Raptors mascot.

When you think about it, though, it’s really just one Canadian legend (the Raptors mascot) paying his respects to another Canadian legend (Bieber). That’s what you call nationwide synergy and the Raptors mascot is all about it. Let’s pray that he trolls/imitates Drake at some point later in these playoffs as well.
