Out of all the Kobe Bryant memorabilia out there, this may be the most bizarre of them all.
On Wednesday night, Kobe Bryant officially retired from the NBA after the last regular season game against the Utah Jazz. The Black Mamba went out in style, though, scoring 60 points. It was arguably the greatest performance ever seen out of a superstar athlete in their final game. He went out on a ridiculous high note that will be remembered forever.
With Kobe out of the league, fans have been stocking up on memorabilia of the Laker legend. The usual items like shirts, jerseys, posters, etc., have been bought. One item, if you can even call it that, has hit the market that is the most bizarre of them all: air from Bryant’s last game. Someone is actually selling this on eBay.
A strange part of this is people are actually bidding on this “memorabilia” that is likely a hoax. The scariest thing of all is someone has bid $13,600 to receive a bag of air from Kobe’s last game. That’s just insane. Imagine all the things you could do for that amount of money that would be way more worth it.
Whoever buys this will get to take home a bag of air with a label on it. The bag could even get a hole in it during the delivery from the sender to the recipient, spoiling this expensive investment. Good luck to whoever buys this.
