Peyton Manning stopped by the 2016 Food City 500 and threw the football around and did a little bit of announcing.
Now that Peyton Manning is retired, he can do a whole bunch of things that he might not have had time for during his career. On Sunday, Manning decided to stop by the 2016 Food City 500 in Tennessee and have some fun at the track.
Before the race began, Peyton Manning decided to throw a football to Michael Waltrip. It was yet another beautiful spiral and Waltrip finished it off with a catch, but not before Manning pretended to fumble it.

After Manning was done throwing footballs and driving down the track with fellow Nationwide sponsor Dale Earnhardt Jr., he decided to go up to the announce booth and try his hand at calling the race.
He might have not known much, but he tried to insert himself and it was hilarious. He talked about what’s next for his career and if he would ever consider getting behind the wheel of a race car.
There’s also been plenty of speculation about whether Manning would join the announce booth for the NFL. Jeff Gordon made sure to let him know that announcing is contagious and Manning returned it with a coy smile.
