A Nationals fan traveled 4,000 miles either to see Bruce Harper play or to misspell Bryce Harper’s name.

Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper has quickly turned into one of the most popular players in the league. Whether it’s his generational talent, his crazy hair, or the way he wants to make baseball fun again, it’s becoming very difficult to not love, or at least respect, Harper.

Fans have started to come from far and wide just to watch him play. However, during the Nationals’ Saturday 8-1 victory against the Philadelphia Phillies, a Nationals fan went home either unhappy that he didn’t get to see Bruce Harper or embarrassed because he realized he misspelled “Bryce”.

Pretty amazing that someone would travel 4,000 miles to completely butcher the spell of “Bryce.” It’s not like it’s a hard name to spell. If he was looking for Bruce Harper, the misguided fan must find a time machine because Bruce Harper hasn’t played football since 1984.

While Bruce Harper was last seen playing for the New York Jets, Bryce Harper is busy making an early push to defend his National League MVP award. The reigning NL MVP has five home runs in his first 10 games with a league best 14 RBIs and .857 slugging percentage.
