45. . AFC. West. Denver Broncos. 1. player

If there is one place that Hoyer should go for the 2016 NFL season, it would be with the Broncos in the AFC West. He in a way would be replacing the man who replaced him in Houston. Osweiler was supposed to become the next starter for the Broncos after Peyton Manning retired, but spurned Denver to sign with Bill O’Brien’s Texans in early March.

Denver will have an elite defense again under defensive coordinator Wade Phillips. The Broncos will again use an ultra-conservative offense under the guidance of head coach Gary Kubiak. Hoyer rarely turns the football over and would probably be the favorite to win the starting quarterback gig in Denver.

While Denver could use its No. 31 pick to draft either Memphis’ Paxton Lynch or Michigan State’s Connor Cook as their next franchise quarterback, it wouldn’t be wise for Denver use either rookie as their starting quarterback in 2016.

Hoyer would have to beat out former Jets and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez and former Northwestern Wildcats quarterback Trevor Siemian to become the next Broncos starter.

Since Hoyer thrives playing in a conservative offense and Denver would prefer a strong game manager under center, expect general manager John Elway to highly consider the idea of signing Hoyer to compete for the starting quarterback gig in 2016. This is the best landing spot for Hoyer by far this offseason.
