Twitter went hard on Reggie Jackson after he had a rough game in the playoffs against the Cavaliers.
Basketball Twitter is completely relentless when it comes to trolling players who are having one of those days when absolutely nothing goes right. On Sunday, Reggie Jackson of the Detroit Pistons, who is usually an outstanding player, had a meltdown against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first game of their playoff series.
While Jackson carried the Pistons into the playoffs, Twitter did not care one bit. They went after Jackson relentlessly. The Pistons lost to the Cavaliers 106-101. Detroit had an inspired effort and hopefully Jackson can shake off a rare off-night to rebound in Game Two.

Reggie Jackson, the only player with playoff experience in Detroit's starting lineup, really sabotaged the Pistons late.

Jackson had 17 points on 7-12 shooting, but had three crucial turnovers that stopped the Pistons momentum. His defense did not meet his usual standards as he finished with a -11 point differential. Jackson also had three personal fouls and seven assists. If you take away his fourth quarter, he had a very solid game. Jackson has rebounded from bad games with good games during the regular season. He will have to repeat that in the playoffs if the Pistons want to have a chance of upsetting the Cleveland Cavaliers.
