A look where the teams stand in the Premier League table after Leicester City dropped two crucial points.
Leicester City vs. West Ham United was always going to have a big impact on the Premier League table. With a Champions League berth confirmed for next season, Leicester are now trying to do the unthinkable and win the league. A win would’ve put them, at worst, seven points ahead of Tottenham at the end of the week, but the draw – which snapped a five-game win streak – puts Leicester eight points ahead giving Tottenham a chance to close the gap to five.

That’s still a sizable lead by all accounts, but it’s a much easier task for Tottenham. Having Jamie Vardy, a player of the year candidate, being suspended for next week’s match against Swansea may make them slip up again, furthering Tottenham’s cause.
For West Ham, who are usually a perennial mid-table team, this was a massive result in their bid for a Champions League spot. Nobody expected them to be competing in Europe next year, but they sit six points back of Arsenal for fourth place and only three points back of Manchester United for fifth place. Even if they end up in the Europa League next year, that is still a massive success by their standards.
This has been one of the best Premier League seasons in recent memory, and the title race is coming right down to the wire. Leicester have been a fantastic story all year long, but their Premier League title is far from being confirmed. Nobody said winning the league would be easy, but Leicester must keep their composure the rest of the way and not drop points to top six teams like they did here.
