The Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks will battle in Game 2 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs on Monday.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are out to prove that they are a serious contender to win the NBA Championship this season. On Saturday night, the Thunder wasted no time by obliterating the Dallas Mavericks 38 points and playing fantastic defense.

The Mavericks meanwhile looked like a team that limped into the playoffs on Saturday night. They couldn’t get anything going on offense and they looked like a team that was thoroughly outmatched on both ends of the floor.

With the way the Thunder played, they appear to be serious about getting this series over as quickly as possible and piling up extra rest before taking on some of the more elite teams in the conference. However, they can’t take the Mavericks for granted and have to be ready for what Dallas brings.
