Here are the five worst draft picks ever in the history of the New York Jets franchise.
One of the downfalls of the NFL moving their yearly selection draft is the fact that fans of the New York Jets don’t get to stay home and heckle their first round draft pick each year. It’s been a tradition for the better part of three decades now to have fans of Gang Green immediately hating the decision their favorite team made.
Most of the time, they don’t even give themselves a second to realize if the Jets had indeed made the right pick. No, it’s a matter of principle that kept those Jets fans booing 21 and 22 year olds for years now.
The fans weren’t always in the wrong, as the New York Jets have had some stinkers over the years to go along with their record on the field (thus being able to pick so high for much of the 1990’s and early 2000’s). Names like Namath and Klecko have been soiled with the stench of names like Nugent and Gholston.
But which ones were the worst out of the group? Who are the worst of the worst when it comes the draft picks by the New York Jets? Here are the five worst draft picks in team history.
