Charlie Villanueva responded to Russell Westbrook who didn’t take too kindly to the Dallas Mavericks veteran interrupting his pregame dance routine.
You would have thought the big story coming out of Game 2 of the first round series between the Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder would have been the game-winning shot that would have given the Thunder the win.
Instead, the big story coming out of the game is the pregame beef between the Thunder’s Russell Westbrook and the Mavs Charlie Villaneuva.
You see, Westbrook was upset Villaneuva had the audacity to interrupt his pregame dance routine he shares with Cameron Payne. Villaneuva may have been trying to get in the head of the triple-double machine and it looked like it worked because Westbrook gave him a shove, and didn’t even break his rhythm either.

Kevin Durant and Westbrook were asked about “Dancegate” after the game and as you would expect had some disparaging remarks for the journeyman forward.

Westbrook: "That's for the guys that don't play."
Villanueva is taking it all in stride and with a sense of humor after appearing on Fox Sports’ PROcast, saying if Westbrook wants to go dancing, he should go to a club or Dancing with the Stars.
“If you want to go dancing, go to a nightclub. Go to a club and dance. Go to Dancing with the Stars and be a dancer. If you want to battle and dance, we can battle, but not in a basketball game. Plus, they were in my way, too. I wasn’t necessarily interrupting their dance.”
Game 3 in the series is Thursday and all eyes will be on Villanueva prior to tip to see if he has any intentions of cutting in with Payne and cutting a rug with Westbrook.
