New York Giants: 5 worst draft picks of all-time
By Randy Gurzi
A look back at the five worst draft picks made by the new York Giants throughout their history
The New York Giants have an incredibly long history, as the team dates all the way back to 1925. Throughout their 91 years as a franchise, they have done some remarkable things. They’ve made so many wonderful player acquisitions that they can boast four pre-Super Bowl NFL Championships and four Super Bowl titles.
That doesn’t mean they haven’t made some mistakes, because let’s face it, every team has. The Giants have not been immune to blunders and, with the draft quickly approaching, we can look back at the five worst draft choices ever made by the G-Men.
We all know the feeling: a team puts so much hope into a player taken after a stellar college career, only to see them flop for some reason or another. Hopefully for the truest of fans, enough time has passed that you can share a little laugh about those mistakes as you pray it never happens again.
Before getting things kicked off with the fifth worst selection, here are some honorable mentions that just missed the cut:
William Joseph, DT Miami – 1st Round (25th overall) in 2003
George Adams, RB Kentucky – 1st Round (19th overall) in 1985
John Hicks, OL Ohio State – 1st Round (3rd overall) in 1974
Sinorice Moss, WR Miami – 2nd Round (44th overall) in 2006
