NFL Rumors: Browns reportedly shopping No. 2 pick in draft

The Cleveland Browns are “actively shopping” the number two pick in next week’s NFL draft, according to reports from the NFL Network.

In recent days, the 2016 NFL Draft has gotten a lot more interesting when it comes to teams shaking things up. Last Thursday, it was the Los Angeles Rams who pulled off a trade with the Tennessee Titans, allowing the newly relocated Rams to acquire the top pick in the draft as the teams exchanged plenty of picks.

Now, it appears there may be even more movement when it comes to top picks in next Thursday’s first round.

According to insiders with the NFL Network, the Cleveland Browns are letting it be known that they will listen to offers for the No. 2 pick from any team interested:

While it is known that the Rams are going to select a quarterback with their top overall pick (either Carson Wentz or Jared Goff), the Browns are not as much a certainty at No. 2, with mock drafts having them taking everyone from linebacker Myles Jack to defensive back Jalen Ramsey and even offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil.

The Browns earned the “honor” of picking second overall after a 3-13 season in 2015, showing they need more than just one player to turn things around in Northeast Ohio. Cleveland would be likely looking for a trade that would involve them getting additional picks or players from any team who wants to move up.

The NFL Draft kicks off next Thursday in Chicago, where it is being held for the second straight year.
