LaDainian Tomlinson was always one of the most entertaining running backs to watch in the early 2000s. He was big enough to ground and pound, but he was also fast enough to get on the perimeter and make people miss.

Tomlinson has been the second best draft pick for the San Diego Chargers. Out of TCU, the Chargers drafted Tomlinson as the fifth pick in the 2001 draft. He came in and proved why he was the fifth overall pick in the draft.

Although he didn’t retire with the Chargers, while he was there, he was one of the most dominant rushers in the league. He finished with 12,490 rushing yards and 138 rushing touchdowns in his illustrious career. He didn’t just rush, either, he was one of the league’s best catchers out of the backfield. He totaled over 500 catches, nearly 4,000 yards and 15 touchdowns through the air.

He racked up five pro bowl appearances and, in 2006, Tomlinson earned the league’s Most Valuable Player, after rushing for over 1,800 yards and 28 touchdowns. He has proven to be one of the best players for this Chargers organization since it came into the league.
