Major League Baseball  has a busy split schedule on this Wednesday, April 20 with all 30 teams scheduled to take the field today.  There are three games scheduled for this afternoon in Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Chicago followed by a game somewhere in between at 6:10 in Cleveland.  The other 11 games are under the lights tonight highlighted by a really nice late-game matchup between Madison Bumgarner and Zack Greinke in San Francisco. If you need a less-well-know fantasy baseball option for today’s action, check out my top 5 fantasy baseball streaming pitchers for this Wednesday.

More from Boston Red Sox

Each of the pitchers highlighted in the following slides is expected to take the mound this Wednesday, and as of this morning, they are available in over 50% of ESPN leagues.  Each morning, you can find these available starting pitchers here on our FanSided fantasy baseball hub. These fantasy baseball streaming pitchers make good pickup options for standard leagues, but they can also be used as value options if you’re building a lineup for daily league fantasy baseball.

Yesterday, my picks went 3-2 overall with strong outings from Robbie Ray of the D-Backs (pictured above, six shutout innings) and Logan Verrett of the Mets (six shutout innings).  Alex Wood was a disappointment in his return to Atlanta although his so-called defense didn’t do him any favors either.  Overall, my fantasy baseball streaming pitchers from yesterday pitched 27.2 innings allowing nine earned runs for a 2.93 ERA while striking out 26. For streaming options, those are pretty strong numbers, so hopefully we can keep things rolling today.

If you want to discuss your fantasy baseball streaming pitchers, other waiver wire pickups, offer alternative options, or let me know how our fantasy baseball coverage can be more of a help to you, find me throughout the day @FansidedFantasy on Twitter. In the coming weeks as the NBA playoffs start to slow down, we’ll be able to expand our daily league fantasy baseball coverage, so stay tuned.
