A look at when you can catch Game 3 between the Spurs and Grizzlies in the 2016 NBA Playoffs
Anyone who had watched the NBA for either the entire 2015-16 season or just for the last month could have told you that the San Antonio Spurs were the better team in their first round NBA Playoffs matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies. The only real question was how badly the Spurs were going to run down their opponents in the first round. As it turns out from the first two games in the series, the answer is “by a lot.”
San Antonio was always going to be a cut above the Grizzlies, but two emphatic victories have only further proven that. It’s honestly not even fair to ask this Memphis team to go on the road to the AT&T Center on the road to play against the best defensive team in the NBA when they are missing arguably their two best overall players and their two best offensive presences in Marc Gasol and Mike Conley.
Now that the Grizzlies trail 2-0 in the series, though, the real question is whether or not Memphis is going to be able to save face at all as the series moves to Memphis in Game 3. Obviously they are depleted in regards to their roster, but they have one of the best home crowds in the league and they could potentially swing things in their favor.
For fans wanting to see if anything changes, you may be asking when Game 3 will be played. Well, both of these teams will get a bit of rest as they won’t take the floor again until Friday. On Friday, they’ll tip-off at 9:30 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on ESPN!
