Sam Bradford unhappy with Eagles trading up in NFL Draft

As expected, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford is not happy with the recent trade.

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles shocked everyone by trading 5 draft picks, included No. 8 overall, to move to the second pick that was held by the Cleveland Browns.

The Eagles will be taking either quarterback Jared Goff or Carson Wentz with the pick depending on which quarterback the Los Angeles Rams take with the top pick they acquired in a trade with the Tennessee Titans.

The biggest loser of this trade may be incumbent signal caller Sam Bradford who recently signed an extension. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the former No. 1 overall pick isn’t happy about this whatsoever.

It’s hard to blame Bradford for being upset that someone is likely coming in to challenge and maybe take his starting spot. He was just brought in to be the guy at quarterback for Philly about a year ago, but with the Chip Kelly regime already out, things are changing.

The positive here is this seems to be lighting a fire under the Oklahoma alumnus. He had an up and down 2015 season, so maybe something like this is needed to bring him up to pay with No. 1 overall pick standards.

There will also be plenty of pressure on Bradford to perform, though, especially if he gets named the starter for the season opener. Any sign of bad play will lead to the rowdy Eagles fans looking to replace him. It means we are probably in for yet another quarterback controversy, which occurs at least once per season.

The Eagles have now become one of the 2016 NFL Draft’s most interesting stories. Which quarterback could they end up selecting?
