Stephen Curry doesn’t think he’ll suit for Game 3 against the Houston Rockets on Thursday night.
On Monday night, the Golden State Warriors proved that they could defeat the Houston Rockets without Stephen Curry. The Warriors didn’t really have much of an issue taking down a Rockets team that didn’t look like they wanted to be on the court behind Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and an exceptional performance from Shaun Livingston, who stepped up in place of Curry.
With the Warriors now holding a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Rockets and getting ready to face the Rockets in Houston on Thursday night, they have to decide whether or not they want to play Curry or not on the road.
From the sound of it, no one should be expecting Curry to suit up on the road on Thursday night. According to CSN’s Monte Poole, Curry doesn’t feel like he will play based on how he currently is feeling.

With the depth the Warriors have and how superior they are to the Rockets, it doesn’t make any sense to try and rush Curry back. The news is certainly concerning that he isn’t able to get back on the court yet, but that could also be the fact that the team is taking it really easy with Curry, considering the fact that they have no reason to worry up two games against a bad Rockets team.
If they can pick up yet another win against the Rockets on Thursday night and take an even more commanding 3-0 series lead, then the Warriors would be wise to rest Curry Game 4 and let the team finish it out and get him even more rest as they get ready for the next round of the playoffs and extra time off.
