Fan runs onto field to join Jake Arrieta no-hitter celebration (Video)

A Chicago Cubs fan ran on the field to celebrate with pitcher Jake Arrieta after he threw a no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds.

On Thursday night, Jake Arrieta continued his streak of dominance that he has had over his last 24 starts and threw his second no-hitter in that frame. In what was a dominating 16-0 victory for the Chicago Cubs over the Cincinnati Reds, Arrieta was even better and had no issues getting the no-hitter and only gave up four walks on the night.

As Arrieta threw yet another no-hitter to a roaring crowd, his teammates ran onto the field to celebrate with him and jumped all over him. His teammates weren’t the only ones that hopped on him. As everyone was going crazy on the shores of Kentucky, one Cubs fan in attendance took up his solemn duty and ran on the field to celebrate too.

He proceeded to hop up and down, as an officer and other personnel tried to drag him away.

He even tried to take a swipe at Arrieta’s hat, but it didn’t look like Arrieta was too receptive of him trying to get involved. Running on the field is a great way to get arrested, but this Cubs fan had to celebrate the big moment with his team.
