Inside the NBA paid tribute to Prince with a purple set before the NBA Playoffs on Thursday night.
The entire world lost an icon on Thursday, when legendary musician Prince tragically passed away at the age of 57 years old. There aren’t many musicians that had the influence that Prince had and he did everything with such grace and style that he could not be duplicated.
With the word of his death making rounds, the tributes immediately began pouring in from everyone, including just about every major professional sports team paying tribute, including all the Minnesota teams, who honored their hometown hero in a big way.
With plenty of playoff games on tap for Thursday night in the NBA, TNT’s Inside the NBA decided to pay tribute to the legend before Game 3 of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks. To honor the man behind “Purple Rain,” the crew turned the set Purple.
Each of the men took their time to pay tribute to one of the greatest entertainers that will ever be known. The purple set gave off an ominous vibe on a night the world lost a legend.
It’s just one of many great tributes that are sure to follow.
