Kris Bryant gave the Cubs a monster lead after launching this grand slam on Thursday
One thing that we’ve known for the better part of the last year is that Kris Bryant is a young star in the making in the world of Major League Baseball. He has the potential to be one of the best hitters in the game, and he’s just improving more and more by the day.
Thursday night against the Cincinnati Reds, he was at it again with that sweet swing.
With the Cubs already up 9-0 in the top of the 7th inning, the bases were all loaded up for Bryant, who proceeded to send this pitch right over the center field wall for the grand slam. This would give the Cubs the very commanding 13-0 lead. It was also Bryant’s second homer of the game.
That was just a bomb that he launched out of the park, and this is another example of the potential that this young man possesses. The Cubs have a star in the making here and it’s gonna be fun just watching him get better and better as time goes on.
As for the Reds — oof, just not their night.
