The Miami Dolphins can be ruled out from the Josh Norman bidding.
On Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers shockingly rescinded the franchise tag on star defensive back Josh Norman. This was due to a difference in numbers on a contract with seemingly no middle ground able to be made up. A bidding war is expected for the 28-year-old.
While there will be multiple teams pursuing Norman, one team that can be ruled out is the Miami Dolphins, according to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report.

The Dolphins being out of the mix may not be a big surprise. Despite letting go of cornerback Brent Grimes in the offseason, they took on Byron Maxwell from the Eagles and some money that went along with him. Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is also owed a truckload of money for a few years after signing with the Dolphins in 2015, so going for the expensive cornerback in Norman may not be wise, especially given his lofty salary demands.
Where the Coastal Carolina alum goes remains to be seen. It could be a team like the Washington Redskins or the San Francisco 49ers, both in need of secondary help. Plus they have the necessary money to spend. Washington has been known to spend big on free agents over the years, so this would only further that.
