3. Steven Wright-Boston Red Sox

Wright is 0-2 on the season, but the knuckle-baller has actually pitched much better than that record would indicate. Both his starts would be considered “quality starts” and both came against a tough Toronto lineup.

In his first start of the year, Wright allowed just one earned run in 6.2 innings and followed that with two earned runs in six innings his last time out.  His ERA for the year is 2.13 with a solid 1.18 WHIP.  He doesn’t usually pick up a ton of strikeouts, but he can give you quality innings even in a tough matchup tonight against the hard-hitting young Astros.

There’s always risk going with any streaming option but even more with a knuckleballer. However, I like Wright as a solid play tonight since he deserves better than his 0-2 record and should be able to put together another solid outing tonight in Houston.
