Stars vs. Wild Game 5 live stream: Watch online
Need to know where you can watch Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild Game 5 online?
The Stars lead the series 3-1 against the Wild after winning Game 4 by the score of 3-2 after a embarrassing loss in Game 3. If Dallas wins tonight, they will not only take their ninth-straight home win but also advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Once again, the Stars were spot on with their offense. They converted on both of their power plays, and forward Jason Spezza continued to dominate the offense, scoring the game-winning goal with the side of his skate. They Stars also killed all three of the Wild’s power plays. Tyler Seguin will be out for his third straight playoff game after making an appearance in Game 2, but it appears that his team is doing just fine without him.
Certainly the Stars have the luxury of switching between goalies. Though Kari Lehtonen occupied the net in the first three games of the series, Antii Niemi took over for Game 4, stopping all 14 shots in the last 20 minutes of regulation and making a total of 28 saves. He will be in the net again tonight.
Minnesota may have scored five goals in Game 3 alone, but otherwise, the Wild has only produced three. No doubt forwards like Jason Pominville, Erik Haula, Charlie Coyle and Nino Niederreiter will continue to play with intensity, but they are yet again facing a major force: Dallas flaunts the best record in the West for home ice games, 28-11-2, and only gave up eight goals in their last seven home games.
