Marcus Smart received a fine for his ridiculous flop on Friday night against the Hawks
Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart has been known to pull off some flops from time to time, but Friday night he really went ahead and outdid himself. With the Celtics taking on the Atlanta Hawks, Kyle Korver put a body on Smart and you would swear a sniper took him out from the stands.

It really does not get anymore blatantly obvious than that right there when it comes to flops, and immediately after the play took place, we all speculated that a fine was coming. Well, that fine dropped on Saturday to the tune of $5,000.

When it comes to the NBA Playoffs, as opposed to the regular season, there are no warnings from the league for flops. It’s five grand right off the bat and that is exactly what Smart got here for that insanity that you saw above.
Really, considering just how ridiculous it was, he should consider $5,000 a gift. In some ways, you could warrant that he should have been suspended for pulling this off.
