Kevin Durant was ejected in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s playoff game against the Dallas Mavericks due to a flagrant foul.

The game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks just got more interesting. Kevin Durant played too aggressive on defense and was ejected from the game for a flagrant 2 foul for hitting Justin Anderson in the face.

It didn’t appear to be intentional. However, Durant was correctly ejected for his hit to the head with his hand as he tried to swat the ball. Durant’s action could cost the Thunder as they look to beat the Mavericks, but now they’ll have to do it without the star on the court. The NBA will most likely review this play in the coming days and Durant could be suspended for a future game and/or fined for his flagrant 2.

Durant’s hit to the head definitely wasn’t the worst thing that’s happened during a game. He wasn’t throwing punches and just tried too hard to play defense. His aggressiveness cost him majorly as he tried to defend down low against Anderson. NBA fans don’t see Durant do things like this often, so it’s even more shocking to see him tossed for a flagrant foul.
