What’s the best way for Stephen Curry to take his mind off a sprained right ankle that caused him to miss the last two games of the Golden State Warriors’ first-round playoff series with the Houston Rockets?
By taking in Friday night’s Houston Astros-Boston Red Sox game, of course:
Curry didn’t just watch the game, though. No, no, no. He made the locker room rounds like an MVP, because, well, he’s the NBA’s MVP.
He handed out autographed literary swag to Astros pitcher Pat Neshek:
He bonded over Carolina Panthers fandom with center fielder Carlos Gomez:
He posed for a “Playing beer pong with my boys at this random house party” picture with Mike Fiers:
And he hung out with Boston’s David Ortiz, bat in hand, sporting his best Riley Curry face:

Phew. What a night. I’m exhausted just reliving it. But perhaps Curry needed the distraction. His Warriors lost their Thursday night tilt without him, and his status for Saturday’s Game 4 in Houston, per ESPN.com’s Ethan Sherwood Strauss, is still up in the air.
And as we should all know by now, the best, and only, cure for such uncertainty is baseball (Red Sox won), popcorn and maybe a soggy hot dog or six.
