James Harden closes first quarter with must see buzzer beater

The Houston Rockets probably won’t win this series vs the Golden State Warriors. There’s already questions about the lack of emotion after James Harden hit his game winning shot that according to the NBA shouldn’t have counted in their last game.  Hopefully, they will make things interesting as this first round of playoffs has been a bit of a dud.

The Warriors were up 10 in the first quarter, but the Rockets came back with a run of their own. It was punctuated by the bearded one hitting a three at the buzzer in dramatic fashion to tie the game at 29 to end the quarter from Stephen Curry range.

Harden has increased his scoring output from 17 in game one to 35 in the Rockets game three victory.  He’s also been distributing the ball more as he had nine and 11 assists in the past two games going into today’s game.

If the Rockets have any prayer of pulling off the biggest upset in NBA history, they are going to need to continue what they are doing in sharing the basketball and have Harden, Dwight Howard and Michael Beasley score and give maximum effort.

The Rockets can make this interesting. They did face the Warriors in the conference finals and Harden was the second leading scorer behind Curry. If Harden continues to make shots like these and continues to play solid basketball, maybe we have a series on our hands.

There’s no doubt that we may see more of these shots, even at some point later in the game.
